Why Uskudar University?

NP Health Group first began providing services in 1998, adding brain mapping features to standard EEG and using computerized clinical tests and training modules.

On May 25, 1999, the Turkey Branch of Memory Centers of America was held on Bağdat Street in Istanbul, with the participation of then President Süleyman Demirel.

  Memory Center was the first to implement "Brain Check Up" and "Magnetic Stimulation Therapy" (TMS) in Turkey.

On October 3, 2000, the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit was opened with the participation of Wenon Wells, President of Memory Centers of America.

NP Health Group pioneered the "Treatment by Measuring Brain Functions" and "Thought-Focused Medicine" approach in Turkey and achieved another first.

In February 2003, Adult Neurology and Psychiatry and Child Adolescent Psychiatry were opened in Feneryolu.

On November 7, 2006, in order to meet the need for an inpatient institution, NPİSTANBUL Neuropsychiatry Hospital, Turkey's first inpatient private hospital in the field of neuropsychiatry, was opened with the participation of the 22nd Term Parliament Speaker Bülent Arınç. In the same year, Functional and Volumetric MR Imaging Techniques were introduced.

Turkey's first Clinical Pharmacogenetics Laboratory in Neuropsychiatry was established in June 2009.

On August 10, 2009, NPİSTANBUL Etiler Medical Center was established and started to serve in the fields of Child and Youth Psychology, Adult Sleep Disorders Unit and Neurology and Internal Medicine.

Üsküdar University was established on March 3, 2011 with the title of "Turkey's first thematic university". NP Feneryolu Medical Center and NP Etiler Medical Center have been under the roof of Üsküdar University since October 2011 and became "NPSUAM Neuropsychiatry Health, Practice and Research Center".

With the establishment of the University in 2011, the Institute of Social Sciences and the Institute of Health Sciences were established.

Üsküdar University accepted its first students in the 2012 - 2013 academic year.

The Institute of Science and Technology was established in 2013.

In April 2014, Üsküdar University launched the Science and Ideas Festival, which also includes entertainment, so that high school students can announce their ideas and projects in an academic environment. The festival continues uninterruptedly every year.

In June 2014, Üsküdar University had its first graduates. 270 students, who successfully completed the 2-year education, graduated from the Vocational School of Health Services with a magnificent ceremony.

In July 2014, Üsküdar University Sufi Studies Institute was established, again for the first time in Turkey.

NPİSTANBUL Neuropsychiatry Hospital, the application center of Üsküdar University, became the first JCI accredited private psychiatric hospital to receive an AMATEM license from the Ministry of Health in December 2014.

Üsküdar University became the Turkey Representative of the Brain Initiative Program launched by US President Obama in 2015.

In 2015, professional Radio-TV studios were established for students of the Faculty of Communication. ÜÜ TV and ÜÜ Radio broadcasts continue uninterruptedly.

In 2015, Üsküdar University Memorial Forest was created by planting 3 thousand saplings in the area allocated by the Environmental Organizations Solidarity Association on the Şile road, on May 6, Hıdırellez.

In 2015, Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan became a board member of the Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics (SBMT), which operates in the field of brain research in the USA.

Üsküdar University Publishing House was established in 2015. The first book of the publishing house is Prof. Dr. It was the "Book of Conferences and Lessons on Brain-Behavior Relations", signed by Oğuz Tanrıdağ.

Üsküdar University and NPİSTANBUL Brain Hospital center was opened in Cologne, Germany, in November 2016 to provide education and health consultancy services in Europe.

In December 2016, the Pediatric Occupational Therapy Unit was added to Üsküdar University NP Etiler Medical Center.

In 2016, Üsküdar University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy was re-elected to the 13-person International Drug Control Board of the United Nations.

The Institute of Addiction and Forensic Sciences was established on April 9, 2016.

In 2016, Üsküdar University went beyond the classical University awards and started presenting the High Human Values Awards in order to reward exemplary individuals who have contributed to society. At the award ceremony held every year, High Human Values Awards are presented to people who have 24 gold values.

In January 2017, Language and Speech Disorders, Ear Nose Throat and Audiology Clinics in Altunizade moved to the NP Feneryolu Medical Center Kalamış building. The current building continues to serve as Üsküdar University South Campus. NP Feneryolu Medical Center added Physiotherapy and Ergotherapy units to its service areas in its new building.

Üsküdar University broke new ground in Turkey and opened the Forensic Sciences Undergraduate Department in 2017.
