With this law, previously affiliated with Trakya University; Faculty of Agriculture, Çorlu Faculty of Engineering and School of Health and Tekirdağ Vocational School, Çorlu Vocational School, Çerkezköy Vocational School, Hayrabolu Vocational School, Malkara Vocational School, Marmara Ereğlisi Vocational School, Muratlı Vocational School, Saray Vocational School, Şarköy Vocational School Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University It was transferred to .

With the same law, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences, the Institute of Social Sciences and the Institute of Health Sciences, and the Departments of Ataturk's Principles and History of Revolution, Turkish Language, Foreign Languages, Fine Arts and Physical Education affiliated to the Rectorate were established and participated in the formation of our University.

Tekirdağ Vocational School was divided into two as Vocational School of Technical Sciences and Vocational School of Social Sciences on 23.05.2008. Vocational School of Health Services was established on 15.04.2009, and with the establishment of Maritime Vocational School last year, the number of vocational schools increased to 12. With the decision of the Council of Ministers published on 02.02.2009, it was decided to establish the School of Foreign Languages; In the same decision, the decision to establish the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences was also announced. With the decision of the Council of Ministers published on 07.06.2010, it was decided to establish the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was established with the Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 2012-3209 published in the Official Gazette No. 28332 dated 23.06.2012. According to the decision published in the same Official Gazette, the School of Physical Education and Sports was also established, and in 2021, this school turned into the Faculty of Sports Sciences. It was decided to establish a Faculty of Theology with the Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 2012-3363 published in the Official Gazette No. 28374 dated 04.08.2012. It was decided to establish a Faculty of Law with the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 2015-8052 published in the Official Gazette numbered 29458 dated 27.08.2015. In accordance with the Decision of the Council of Ministers, which came into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated 11.03.2017 with the decision number 2017/9889, the Faculty of Dentistry was established at our University. Today, our total number of faculties is 11 and the number of colleges is 2.

Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University carried out the first studies of the structuring process, which started in 2006, within the Rectorate of Trakya University, and later at the Namık Kemal University Practice Hotel in Tekirdağ. Rectorate units started to serve in the old municipality building in the center of Tekirdağ in November 2007, and continued to serve in the Dean's Office Building of the Faculty of Agriculture in Değirmenaltı Campus from January 2008 to December 2009. It started to serve in the Central Classroom building as of January 2010, and with the completion of its construction in July Since 2012, it has moved to the new Rectorate building and carries out its services from here.

In order to provide closer service to our students, some units such as the Department of Health, Culture and Sports, Career Research and Application Center (NKÜKAM), NKÜTEK Teknopark TGB 1 Incubation Center and Trakya Productivity and Innovation Application and Research Center (TRAVİM) are located within the Social Life Center.

The Library and Documentation Department and our current Central Library are located in the Central Classrooms building, in the most central location on our campus in terms of student transportation.
