Why Istanbul University?

Open and Distance Education Faculty (AUZEF) is the faculty that carries out the activities of open education and distance education programs within the body of Istanbul University. As of 2009, distance education; AUZEF, which has been accepting students within the scope of open education programs since 2011, is constantly advancing towards becoming Turkey's leading digital faculty at the point reached today. As of 2023, AUZEF has a total of 47 active programs, 35 of which are open education and 12 distance education. 19 of them are undergraduate, 23 of them are associate degree and 5 of them are undergraduate completion programs. AUZEF offers all its students the opportunity to receive education at Istanbul University standards, regardless of time and place, by using digital learning-teaching methods. In this context, unlike traditional education models, the student does not have to come to the campus; It offers a platform where the lessons are taught in a completely virtual environment via the internet and computer/mobile devices, and the participant can watch them again and again whenever they want.
