Biruni University, which took its place among the foundation universities, was inspired by the Turkish scientist Abu Reyhan Al-Biruni, who made his name in the world science history as the "Universal Genius" by producing important works in many fields, especially Medicine, Pharmacy, Astronomy, Mathematics, Physics, Geography and History. has started its academic activities as of the 2014-2015 academic year with 6 Faculties and 1 Vocational School, all related to the field of health.
Biruni University, in accordance with Article 13 of the "Law on Amendments to Certain Laws and Decree Laws" dated 20.02.2014 and numbered 6525, published in the official gazette dated 27.02.2014 and numbered 28926; It was established within the scope of Additional Article 156 added to the Higher Education Institutions Organization Law No. 2809 dated 28/3/1983.
